YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT

Nutritional therapy provides a proactive approach to encourage the body's natural health and healing. There is an increasing awareness of the nutrition we need to promote good health and prevent illness.

I use a variety of evaluation techniques to determine imbalances in the body and promote improvement.
• Initial Interview
• Food Journals
• Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire
• Functional Evaluation
• Lingual-Neural Testing

CAN NUTRITIONAL THERAPY HELP YOU?

Nutritional therapy can help a wide range of individuals from children to mature adults. Some of the conditions which can respond favorably to nutritional interventions include a wide range of conditions from headaches and migraines to digestive problems; hormonal problems, skin problems, PMS, and menopausal symptoms; fatigue, hyperactivity, or depression; frequent colds and infections; stress-related disorders; asthma, hay fever, and allergies, to name but a few.

But, you don't have to suffer from any particular condition to benefit from nutritional therapy - it can enhance your overall health, lift your mood, and boost your vitality.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

How well we feel depends on the efficiency with which our body produces hormones, enzymes, blood cells, antibodies and countless other substances.

All these are made from food but many people do not assimilate their food properly, perhaps because of poor digestion or chronic irritation of the digestive system. Individuals may also have a toxic overload – a build up of unwanted waste substances which get in the way of efficient functioning. Food allergies or intolerances can also cause a lot of unpleasant symptoms which may be delayed or difficult to relate to a specific food.

People who have used a lot of antibiotics can also be prone to excessive growth of undesirable bacteria and yeast, impairing digestion and producing toxic waste products which get absorbed into our blood stream and can make us feel tired or unwell.

An efficiently functioning body finds it easier to repair and heal itself. I aim to improve your body’s efficiency by identifying and then dealing with these problems using specific diets, lifestyle changes, dietary supplements, and herbs according to your individual needs.
